Cocktails a new trend in the bar
A new trend in bars is emerging. Although most bars still serve the appropriate drinks, smaller bars are increasingly specializing in specialty drinks such as cocktails. In the last year, the turnover of these new trendy bars grew from $ 200 million to more than $ 234 million.
Trendy bargoers are looking for and trying out newer creations at these innovative operators. The Singapore Cocktail Festival boosted the reputation of this new trend.
During this Festival, master classes were given and “bar tours” took place, so that everyone could taste, learn and “play as a bartender”. There is clearly a change in the work of bartenders and a great appreciation for those who know how to design special creative cocktails.
Besides Singapore, these new trendy venues are also popping up in other locations such as Bangkok, Jakarta, Bali and Kuala Lumpur. A market for this is even beginning to emerge in Cambodia.
