In the Gulf of Thailand, 12 km north of the island of Koh Samui and south of the island of Koh Tao to Koh Pha Ngan (Koh Phangan).

The island is mountainous and consists of forests and rivers that end up in the sea. It is best known for the full moon parties. The Full Moon Party takes place on it beach from Hat Rin (Haad Rin).

Around the island are several other sandy beaches with accommodations and / or buildings behind them. The interior is hilly and suitable for walks with the highest point at 627m. There are some temples, including Wat Madio Wan with a replica of Buddha's footprint and Wat Khao Tham on a hill, where tourists come to (learn to) meditate.

There is also the Than Sadet waterfall and the Namtok Phaeng National Park. A good way to explore the island is by renting a moped. The island is especially popular with divers, snorkelers and backpackers. You will still find peace and unspoiled nature. Due to the lack of an airport, this beautiful island has not yet fallen prey to mass tourism.

Many tourists do not visit the island for the tranquility and natural beauty, but to party. Every month the island fills up with young men and women who want to go crazy for 24 hours.
