Reader question: Buying a car in Thailand (Isaan)
We want to buy a new car. A Ford Everest, 3.2. We have already been to a few Ford garages. What is striking is that people do not want to give a discount, but also that they really want you to buy the car on installment. Double earning, sales profit on the car and the finance company's commission. Something we don't want. You are then only the official owner when you have paid off. Minimum term is three years upon repayment.
Isan experiences (9)
It is early in the morning and there is a refreshing smell, the air seems cleared of all dust. On the grass, shrubs and trees hang small sparkling stars, drops of water that evoke an image of abundance and fertility. The paved street shines, all the sand has been washed away. The layer of dust caused by motorized traffic remains gone, the red earth is dark brown. The rains are finally starting to fall in this region.

In de Volkskrant you can read a critical opinion piece about the cuts in embassies abroad. Dutch people living abroad are particularly affected by this.
I have been living in Thailand for several years now and soon I wanted to return to the Netherlands. When I return I want to meet some acquaintances in Bangkok and, after an overnight stay in a hotel, travel through Thailand with them for two weeks. My question: if I return to my home address in Thailand, do I have to report this somewhere, such as the local police station or immigration?
