Too bad, I just booked a direct flight with eva air to Bangkok!
and for March 29 to April 24!
I missed another offer!
but as told, never book too late otherwise the prices can rise very much.
happy holiday for the people who can use this offer!
Greetings
Bart Hoevenaars
There among others. reported often enough on TL-Blog that it can be cheaper to travel via Germany. But by no means direct, but always a stop-over. The luxury of a direct flight is just a little more expensive.
That's not missing an offer, but that's booking in a different way. If you changed the priority slightly, you could even fly for € 499. This was described in detail in TL-Blog a week ago. rebel
Just to be sure, I just checked Etihad after the message on this forum a while ago that an open jaw no longer bookable was available for a nice price.
Booked the following for 3 adults;
Amsterdam – Bangkok on May 29, 2014
Bangkok – Dusseldorf on June 13, 2014
both travel days a stopover of 2 to 2 1/2 hours in Abu Dabi and for a total price of € 1488, which can be called good for value.
550 via e.g. expedia.
About a month ago I also booked a flight with EVA for 652 euros for the period from the end of March to the end of April. Out of curiosity, I took a look at the offer, but did not see a single flight where the transfer time on both the outward and return flights was shorter than 3 1/2 hours. The ticket may be 100 euros cheaper, but I personally prefer the direct flight with EVA. Schiphol is also easy to reach by train for me (if no problems in the Schiphol tunnel 🙂 ).
For me the price alone is not decisive. Everyone will use their own selection criteria.
maybe we can travel together!
I'm leaving on March 29!
And you ?
Greetings
Bart
I leave March 27. I first wanted to leave on Saturday the 29th and travel back on Tuesday April 29th, but then the stay in Thailand ended up being 31 days instead of 30.
Anyway, have a good trip.
Regards,
Japio
And that's exactly where the pinch is Japio. These kinds of offers are very nice if you are not afraid of switching and long waiting times.
I don't see that as the -pinch-. I'm happy if I can walk again after 6 hours of sitting. In addition, I always book -stop over- in Dubai. In the meantime I know my way around Dubai just as well as in Bangkok and Rotterdam. And that only costs me the overnight stay in Dubai. The rest is paid by Emirates Airways. I don't know long waiting times. Because that depends on the flights you book yourself. The shortest waiting time for a transfer in Dubai is approximately 2 hours and the longest 9, or as with me, 72 hours because I have 3 days to transfer. But that is a holiday and not a waiting period. You don't have to stay in Dubai either. Because your Dubai free Visa is valid for all emirates, including Abu Dhabi and Qartar. top martin.
For me, the service on board and the aircraft type are important. In addition, after 6 hours of aluminum tube I just want to get out. And that Emirates Airways is the best, most other passengers also say. That's why they are rightfully ranked No. 1. rebel
Have flown with Eva many times. Is super.leg room, service etc. Only if the difference in price is more than 100 then I choose another. That is now the case with Etihad.
I flew with Etihad in November and they are also super.
Advantage Eva: direct
Disadvantage: you don't save miles with the cheap tickets
Etihad advantage: you save miles with all tickets (pro rata) & the transfer is shorter than with Emirates.
Disadvantage: Sometimes the flight Dusseldorf-Abu Dhabi or vice versa is operated by Air Berlin. And that is a dredging company in terms of service. Otherwise fine, also in terms of legroom, only if you are used to the Asians then the European companies pale.
I think Etihad has recently come out as number 1 somewhere?
Well, the difference between Emirates and Etihad will be minimal.
Oh yes, AMS-Abu Dhabi Airbus A330 & Abu Dhabi-BKK Boeing 777.
You've already mentioned the downsides with Ethiad. They are also not on the No. 1. It says Emirates. Fly only with the Ethiad, so without Air Berlin you can decide for yourself by just checking another flight. It is stated which of the two airlines operates the flight.
As long as you've never flown Emirates, you can't claim that at all, just hope?.
In addition, the entire air-miles program is of little use. Everyone thinks that you can exchange air miles for free flights or. against upgrades?. You can only do that if there are free seats on those flights and then only 24 hours in advance. Info source EK. rebel.
