Brussels Airlines and Thailand's national airline THAI Airways signed a cooperation agreement in Bangkok on Monday.

Both airlines are members of the Star Alliance commercial network. This code-sharing commercial agreement will enable Brussels Airlines to offer customers flights to Bangkok.

Connection to Brussels

The Thai capital has become the second most important long-haul destination with departures from Brussels. THAI Airways travelers can travel more easily via Brussels to the American and African destinations of the Belgian company.

Bangkok-Brussels

THAI Airways has been flying from Bangkok to Brussels since 2011 with three flights a week. That frequency will be increased to four flights a week. THAI wants to make Brussels its second European hub.

    Brussels Airlines.
Only the name still refers to a Belgian airline.
It will soon be fully owned by Lufthansa.

Is this “collaboration” also beneficial for the traveler in terms of cheaper tickets?

That was on departure 6-4, from Brussels, keep looking, good luck.
