The International Aviation Organization IATA expect airfare prices to fall further this year due to the price of crude oil.

The sharp fall in fuel prices at the end of last year will continue to have an effect in 2016 and will lead to lower ticket prices, according to a report on the first two months of 2015.

Although the oil market seems to be recovering somewhat, prices are still thirty percent lower than last year. Ticket prices also fell worldwide in 2015, by an average of 4 to 4,5 percent.

IATA expects airlines to lower flight ticket prices in 2016, due to the low purchase price for fuel.

As a teacher I always have to take my vacation in high summer and for 2016 I will have lost MORE money than in 2015. In other words, I don't notice any of those price drops. Of course I see wonderful offers passing by, but if you look at what they ask for before departure in July, then I can pay the main prize. That nuance can be added next time. Because the same limitation applies to families as my wife and I face.

I totally agree with Mr. BP. I don't work in education myself, but my wife does. We also have 2 school going children. It is not possible to go on holiday outside of school holidays. Offers from KLM, China Airlines, EVA, Emirates, etc. are almost always up to and including the Thursday or Friday before the "big" holiday, so that we always pay the top price. And with 4 people that is quite expensive.

We are also already looking for the summer, but what I see is that they are increasing the tax considerably, which is not correct in my common sense.
Everywhere I look on the internet it's the same everywhere.

It's like keeping the price of gas as high as possible and pocketing the rest.
The tax for a ticket is three times more than the price for the ticket itself.

    Yours faithfully,

    Erwin
