You can fly from Amsterdam via Helsinki to Bangkok with Finnair. The airline is 90 years old this year and has 13 offers to Asia.

Finnair flies the shorter northern route via Helsinki, which is geographically the ideal transfer point on the way to Asia.

On November 1, the Finnish airline Finnair exists exactly 90 years. Today, Finnair mainly focuses on flights between Europe and Asia via Helsinki, serving 60 European destinations and 13 Asian destinations.

Finnair is celebrating its 90th anniversary in several ways. For example, on November 1, Finnair will distribute a special Finnair edition of Donald Duck to its passengers on long-haul flights. Finnair also had a special poster made by the Finnish graphic designer Erik Bruun.

Finnair's entertainment systems were also overhauled with the addition of films and television programmes.

Finnair will open a new Premium Lounge at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in 2014 at the current Finnair Lounge between gates 36 and 37, which will include a sauna and showers.

There are always interesting rates H/T to Bangkok from Amsterdam or Brussels. But the same travel agencies or airlines don't offer those advantageous conditions in the other direction, Bangkok A'dam/Brussels/Bangkok. Who knows the best rates there???

Norwegian air often has a one-way ticket BKK-Ams relatively cheap in its package.

Oddly enough they don't offer amsterdam bkk, I think this must be just a mistake on the internet. My English (or theirs) is unfortunately too poor for me to try to figure this out by phone, who knows, you might succeed.

        Namesake.

I too have puzzled myself how it works at Norwegian.
Well, simple, there is no connection AMS-BKK on the same day.
You just have to spend a night in Oslo, I think.

Therefore no offer on the website, and therefore no cheap return ticket.

It is indeed very frustrating that cheap tickets are only offered in the direction of Thailand.

I find it perfidious, just like the so-called market-oriented variation of prices per day, per month, per period, per season, per…

I think it is quite expensive, knowing that the Emirates Airways flies from Amsterdam via Dubai for € 530 return to Bangkok. This as a promotion for the opening of the second A380-800 scheduled service per day. Too bad this isn't publicized here. great martin

Quite expensive? Sorry, then you are out of date! You already talked about promotional, so the real prices of Emirates are completely out of control. I was still a gold card member in 2010, but fly completely, no longer with Emirates, extortionate prices! Fly now riga- stockholm for €50 with Norwegian and then Air China Stockholm-Manila for €520. Mind you, Manila, many times more expensive than Bkk.

DURATION? Airline tickets have certainly not become more expensive in recent years. For just over € 600 you now have a wide choice with Etihad, Finnair, Malaysian, Turkish Airlines. The price you mentioned of € 530 (at an online travel agency) was without booking costs. Feel free to count € 30 or more for those additional costs. At Emirates itself you would have paid € 568.

Emirates has a strategy where tickets are cheap far in advance and gradually become more and more expensive (normally around €775 for AMS – BKK). They are now stunting to bully competitor / colleague Etihad. Incidentally, Emirates does NOT fly with an A2 with its 380nd flight from AMS, but with a B777! If you buy your Emirates tickets early, you can fly cheaper. I paid € 620 for my ticket (departure Dusseldorf)

Comparing promotions with more or less regular prices is also not entirely justified. If you don't want to miss anything about ticket promotions, you better keep an eye on the Ticketspy site. It should be noted that these promotions are sometimes available for a very short time and sometimes mean that you have to fly via Ireland (yes!) or Antwerp. But again, €530 is exceptionally cheap and can certainly not be used as a benchmark to determine the price level of tickets.

Dear Dennis, how do you know I booked online? Directly with Air China. Have you been a gold card member of Emirates? I flew it 6 to 8 times a year for 4 years, so don't tell me how Emirates works! Emirates have a strategy, this is what they are doing to antagonize Etihad? Google about ticket prices and hotel prices, there are nice posts about this on the Thailand blog.
You say 530 is very cheap and with a bit of luck you will fly for 600 euros as standard, well sorry, but I'm not looking at 70 euros! I just see differences of hundreds of euros!

          Dear Mathias,

I did not respond to your message, but to Martin's. As you can also see in the view of the reaction tree.

Since I did not respond to your message, it seems to me that answering your questions to me is superfluous.
