Bangkok Airways is lowering its economy class fares for flights from Bangkok to Udon Thani. This offer is valid for flights until the end of October this year.

The promotional fare is 1.490 baht for a one-way trip, including airport tax. A one-way return ticket costs 1.440 baht. You save about 30% on the normal rate.

Passengers can book this fare until March 31, 2014 and travel is possible until October 31 of this year.

Currently, Bangkok Airways offers three daily non-stop flights from Bangkok to Udon Thani.

Udon Thani Airport is close to the Thai-Laos border (Nong Khai). Many travelers buy a ticket for the domestic fare to Udon and then travel by mini-bus to the border (80 km) and from there by bus to Vientiane in Laos. This route is considerably cheaper than the cost of a non-stop flight between Bangkok and Vientiane.

The total travel time between the two capitals via the Udon Thani route is approximately 3 to 4 hours including the bus journey, transfers and immigration checks.
