Bangkok Airways is launching a new route to Udon Thani
Bangkok Airways has announced a new route to Udon Thani as of November 29. Bangkok Airways now flies to eight destinations in Thailand: Chiang Mai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Trat, Phuket, Samui and Krabi. There are also two daily flights to Udon Thani.
The shuttle service will start on November 29 this year. The cost for a ticket is 3.580 baht (excluding airport tax). You can book from September 30.
The airline will operate the two daily flights to Udon Thani with an Airbus A321. The first flight, PG351, will depart Bangkok at 07.15:08.20 and arrive in Udon at 09.05:10.10. The return flight departs Udon at 355:18.15 AM and arrives in Bangkok at 19.20:20.05 AM. There is also an evening flight (PG21.10). It will depart from Bangkok at XNUMX:XNUMX PM and arrive in Udon at XNUMX:XNUMX PM. The return flight from Udon is at XNUMX:XNUMX PM and arrives in Bangkok at XNUMX:XNUMX PM.
The range of flights to Udon Thani was already large, but will become even wider with the announcement of Bangkok Airways. Competitor Nok Air flies to Udon Thani five times a day and AirAsia offers three daily flights.
Bangkok Aiways also flies to 11 international destinations: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Yangon, Maldives, Dhaka, and Mumbai. And has code-share agreements with THAI Airways International, EVA Air, Etihad, Air Berlin, Air France, KLM, Finnair, Malaysian Airlines and Japan Airlines.
I live near Chumpha and can fly to Udon Thani or Khon Kaen. Distance from airport to home about the same. However, to Khon Kaen with Thai air (3 flights per day) I pay just under or just above 2000 baht all in. So don't understand the pricing of Bangkok air.
Yes, Ger must agree, I booked Thai Airways from Khon Kaen to Bangkok yesterday for the sum of 1750 baht.
What a difference with bangkok airways, yes, strange but true.
Khan Peter;
Thanks for your info / always nice to weigh the price [ flying or by bus ] against each other. I think flying from Pattaya to Udon Thani will be maybe 2,5 hours, excluding waiting times, etc. Still n” bus ticket a 365bath / person, okay 10 hours on the road or almost 3600bath for flying / person, I prefer to choose my van despite the lesser luxury, although: video / music / air conditioning and a water [of course I take my own chang mee] and a sandwich as a service, is not expensive! And, you sit comfortably among the Thai in a bus.
Gr;Willem Schevenin…
I checked the prices with Bangkokair. The prices mentioned with the article above are for a return.
One way is 1790 bath in December. This again makes more sense and I am now waiting for the actions for the winter.
