Questioner: Cok

I have been going to Thailand for 6 months for years. I always take a multiple entry visa. Is this still possible, because I read something about this sometime.

Thank you very much for an answer.

It is actually somewhat normal that the Multiple entry visas are currently less popular because the land borders are still closed to travelers. “Border runs” are therefore impossible or mandatory via an airport. In addition, all Corona requirements for entry must currently be met with every entry. There are also entry requirements in countries that people want to use to carry out a “border run”. There are currently not many travelers who are willing to do that, I think, and a Multiple entry costs quite a bit more.

I suspect that the popularity of the multiple entry will increase again if the land borders reopen and/or the entry requirements are further relaxed.

The website states that the METV is currently not available

“Multiple-entry tourist visa (METV) remains unavailable”

Information for non-Thai nationals planning to visit Thailand (during COVID-19 pandemic) – สถานเอกอัครราชทูตณ กรุงเฮก (thaiembassy.org)

The STV already exists as Single entry

The Non-Immigrant OA and OX are only available as Multiple entry

All the others as far as I know are still available as Single or Multiple entry if they used to be.
