Thailand Visa question No. 062/22: Wrong visa

Questioner: Ruud

I have applied for the wrong visa by mistake. I apparently applied for a visa for 60 days, while I clearly entered the departure and return dates in the application and even a number of days of 70. Still, I did not receive an error message here, so I have now received the wrong visa.

What's your advice? Apply for a new visa for 90 days? Or extend my 60-day visa to 90 days in Thailand? And do you know where I can best go to extend this there?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Perhaps you entered it incorrectly or you somehow did not qualify for the Non-immigrant O and a Tourist was given instead.

No problem really if you go for 90 days. With that Tourist you get 60 days upon entry and you can extend it by 30 days at any immigration office. Then costs 1900 Baht.
