Questioner: Reginald
Subject: Health insurance

With my annualized visa which I have had for about 15 years with 800.000 baht in the bank. Retail. Should I have insurance or not?

Whether or not you need to provide health insurance depends only on whether your initial period of stay was obtained with a Non-immigrant O or a Non-immigrant OA visa

– If it was with a Non-immigrant O, health insurance is not necessary.

– Is it with a Non-immigrant OA or is it, although apparently there are immigration offices that do not require health insurance if the visa or extension was issued before October 31, 2019.

Whether the latter is also the case in your immigration office, you will have to ask yourself.

Whether or not you have had that 15 Baht in the bank for 800 years is irrelevant to whether or not you have to show health insurance.
