Questioner: Maurice

I have a visa question. I want to stay in Thailand with my partner for 6 months, with an METV. Previously, we could not apply for this visa because an employer's statement is requested. Is it true that you no longer need an employer's statement for an METV? Can you extend your visa after 60 days at an Immigration Office upon entry?

This would mean that we have to leave Thailand after 90 days and then re-enter with 60 days, which we then have extended to 90 days at an Immigration Office. Is this correct?

Many thanks in advance.

1. I don't see the requirement of an employee statement anywhere

2. Each entry of 60 days can be extended once by 30 days at immigration. If you are married to a Thai, this can also be done once with 60 days.
