The editors of Thailandblog are again receiving reports of fraudulent e-mails about the Thailand Pass, Richard Barrow has also paid attention to it.

If you receive such an email regarding the Thailand Pass, please ignore it. If you reply, they'll automatically send you another email with instructions to download an attachment. There's a virus in there.

Yesterday and today a lot of this kind of phishing e-mail was sent again.

They are emails from the address:
    [email protected]
    I've had a few too.
    Throw them away right away.

I also had 1 today, I've been back from Thailand for a month, so immediately removed

I have also received these emails twice. Fortunately removed immediately.

I too had one last night. Just at the moment when I expected an answer from Thailand Pass.
So I did, but the 2nd email with attachment was caught by Norton and deleted without asking.
Long live Norton. Hopefully it was.

The site has of course been hacked, so I don't understand why things have been better secured.
Because my application was made after March 1 and the notification on the site has a date of March 1, but it has just been added.
There is probably someone internally who forwards the e-mail addresses.

      Richard,

The site has not been hacked, they use a completely different address. By changing the sender name, it seems to the innocent reader that it is from https://tp.consular.go.th/ comes from.

When you click on the sender name you will see that it is a different address.

The Thai Embassy also has no 8nvl9ed on this, other than issuing the warning.

The site may not have been hacked, but there is a leak in the data / database of the Thailand Pass. After all, how else would the scammers get the email addresses of the applicants? Not everyone randomly receives this email, but only (former) applicants for the Thailand Pass.

I only applied for my Thailand Pass on 1/3, they are aware of the data breach but still it is happening again with applications since then. I think it's sloppy but it's been discussed here a lot - you have to do something if you want to visit beloved Thailand.

Recent applicants – after 1/3 – do you already have an answer?

Request made on March 1 and no answer yet. I also sincerely hope that the flight will not be rearranged (with possibly a different flight number) because of the war, otherwise I can start all over again…

I also received a few. You can clearly see that this is a scam and or scam. The sender has an extension of .com

Normally a thai email has no com extension at the end but go.th

    Immediately block this email
    Greetings John
