Thai news is back from vacation

Dear readers, dear readers,

I'm back from six weeks holiday in the Netherlands and resume my daily column with an overview of the most important Thai news from Bangkok Post and (occasionally) The Nation. I was just able to enjoy the new herring, which is better than next year, but the weather was tough with a single day on which the mercury did not exceed 9 degrees and days with a fierce wind and stir. It looked like autumn.

I had promised to occasionally deliver separate articles during my vacation, based on the websites of both newspapers, but that never happened. I once came across a message in the Dutch newspapers about this Thailand: the demonstration of the yellow shirts at the parliament. Thailand is a far-from-my-bed show in the Netherlands. Through my column I hope to bridge that distance.

We are happy again Dick, and I am a bit jealous of you! Yes, that's just because of the new herring! Welcome back to your homeland.
