The number of visitors to Thailandblog has again risen sharply in recent months, both the number of visits and the number of unique visitors.

Especially the number of visits stands out. Over the past 11 months, Thailandblog has been visited more than 2,2 million times. This means that Thailand blog is attracting more and more readers. All these visitors viewed a total of almost 5 million pages. It should be mentioned that pages are often viewed for the latest reactions to an article. By the way, did you know that on forums the reactions to a post are read better than the article itself?

To share the numbers with you, we have listed some stats. The results of the past 11 months:

January 2013 to November 2013

  • Visits: 2.216.150
  • Unique visitors: 652.905

For comparison same period last year:

January 2012 to November 2012

  • Visits 1.218.618
  • Unique visitors 433.766
  • Page views: 3.079.913

Where do all those visitors come from?

Netherlands: 1.268.635 (57,24%)
Thailand: 528.045 (23,83%)
Belgium: 303.073 (13,68%)
Rest: 5,25%

    Congratulations .
Who would have ever thought this.
In the meantime, there have been others who want to imitate the blog.
For this one I see that they will never make it, the Thailandblog is simply the champion.

This blog is therefore the best source of information for Thailand. I especially find the daily news very interesting. The beautiful and sometimes sad experiences of the Dutch in Thailand can also sometimes move me.
    Keep up the good work!

    Congratulations!

Rightly so I've been following this blog from the start I think it's really great, when I'm in the Netherlands then thanks to the blog you're a bit in Thailand.
And especially in recent weeks with developments in Thailand, I think it's fantastic that I was able to follow everything thanks to the Thailand blog and of course Dick's breaking news.

    Congratulations and keep it up.

I have been following all kinds of blogs on the internet about Bangkok and Thailand for several years. That started (in English) with BangkokBob and nowadays there are all kinds of blogs in English from expats who live there and started blogging (TastyThailand, EatingThaiFood, Stickman, Richard Barrow, Greg To Differ, BangkokGlutton… to name a few) … but I have to say: the most complete site is really Thailandblog.nl

So as far as I'm concerned: on to the next visitor record!

Quality is of course much more important than quantity, luckily both are fine here on TB. 🙂

For my upcoming trip to Thailand I was able to get a lot of information from here. It is also great that you are kept informed of the situation there.

First of all, congratulations on the records. Logical that the numbers grow every year and that is mainly due to the people behind the scenes who keep this blog interesting and fun. Most blogs consist of a number of people who write something they like. Then it is up to the readers to hurt the writers as hard as possible and to drill into the ground as deeply as possible. You will not see this on Thailandblog because every response is approved by the moderators. Continue with all the useful information.
Just one more question :::How can you see where a reader lives ???

    • Rob V says up

“How can you tell where a reader lives???”

Via the “IP address” (Internet Protocol), which is a unique number that allows you to find out where someone lives. for example, you will sometimes notice that you get advertisements from companies that are located in your area or sometimes from neighboring municipalities (apparently they think you live there). Although there are some providers that assign a dynamic IP address to their customers, you will then receive a new IP address every so often (for example after dialing in or logging in again). But the IP provides enough information to at least determine the country and in many cases also roughly the location.

From the first acquaintance with this Site (this following my 1st visit to Thailand) I have decided for myself that this is a very good and informative Site where anyone looking for information about Thailand will find their answers! It is therefore not surprising that this Site stands out so much, and every time you think you know just about everything that is important about Thailand, you
there seems to be a new "knowledge worth knowing". I think as far as Thailand Information is concerned, this is a better Site than “Google” because in Thailand Blog the information comes from within. I probably will
given my age I will never come to Thailand again, but through this Site I will stay informed of everything that has to do with Thailand! And Thailand is and remains my favorite holiday country!
I therefore wish everyone who is jointly responsible for this Site every success and, moreover, happy holidays and a prosperous and fruitful 2014.
    Ton van den Brink.
