Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand's international airport, has set up an information center at the airport.

Airline passengers who are stranded or have questions about the situation in Bangkok can go there for help and advice.

As tensions rise from the protests, Suvarnabhumi Airport has opened an information center on the third floor of the terminal. A special telephone number has been opened that can be reached 24 hours a day: 02-132-9999

Tourists with questions or requests for help can call the above number.

A friend of mine arrives in Thailand on December 5 and is going to stay with a friend in Samut Prakahn for a few days. I advised him to take the sky train from the airport and from there to transfer to the air track to Samut Prakahn at the main station and to drive from the terminal station to his final destination by car, so that he avoids traffic jams and possible demonstrations. Other arriving travelers can do the same to their destination, from the main station they can go in different directions with the sky rail and the metro is not far off there either I thought.

I don't know how handy your friend is, but he won't find the indication skytrain on Suvarnabhumi, it's called Airport Link. At the end station Phaya Thai he can then board the BTS skytrain. Good luck! This can also be found on the internet, just google Bangkok public transport and you will find everything.
