Sukhumvit Road is the most famous road in Bangkok. In addition to luxury and affordable hotels you will also find shopping and entertainment.

Sukhumvit is alive 24 hours a day. It is a constant bustle of cars, buses, motorcycles, pedestrians and the Skytrain rushing by. Food stalls with local dishes and delicacies can be found on every street corner. But there are also many restaurants with one Thai cuisine or delicious Indian curry.

You will find a mix of cultures. From Soi 3 to Soi 5 you will experience an Arabian atmosphere with Middle Eastern restaurants and hookahs. Looking for a nice Thai souvenir? More than enough stalls where you can haggle. Are you going for luxury? Various shopping centers such as Emporium offer you a special shopping experience.

There are many ways to discover Sukhumvit Road: by bus, a taxi or a Tuk Tuk. But the easiest way to get around is above Sukhumvit Road, with the BTS Skytrain.

There is also a party at night. There are many nightlife options on Soi 11. Popular with expats and tourists for the variety of bars, restaurants and live music as well as other forms of entertainment.

Sukhumvit soi 17? That's an alley along the Robinson, nothing to do there…

that's right, I lived in soi 19 for years, there is little to do in 17, then just a bit back into the basement to Termae, is always an experience

          Hi Eric,

Me in Soi 13, from '90 to '93.
Back then it was still really fun.
Entrance (old) 'Thermae' was in Soi 13 just before the 'Miami Hotel', between
the piss tank and kitchen down the stairs.
No BTS and stuff yet, just the very busy Sukumvit..
Have experienced the construction of BTS and sewerage from very close by.
Did they start in '95, I think?

          Garotjes,
          William

I'm not very good at counting. But what I saw there always comes in pairs. 😉

    Khan Peter,

Do you know that Sukumvit Road more than 400 km. long and from Ploenchit Rd. Bangkok all the way to Trat , almost to the border with Cambodia ?
    But you will know that.
You are only talking about the 'cozy' part between Soi 1 Suk.Rd. to the border of Bangkok / Samut Prakan.
    Nothing wrong with it.

    Greetings,
    William

I walked from On Nut to soi 64 today but I regretted it. What a bad sidewalk, unsociable stuff, closed shops, dirty mess… they'll never see me there again. And that while there is just skytrain beyond On Nut, but they don't use it (yet?). On Nut is the end station.
