In the series 'On a journey with grandma Jetty' comedian and theater maker Jetty Mathurin takes two of her grandchildren on a journey through beautiful Thailand.

In this episode, the Mathurins visit the ancient royal cities of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. In Phitsanulok, fried insects are eaten at the night market.

Jetty Mathurin (Paramaribo, June 30, 1951) is a Dutch comedian, presenter, actress, columnist and speech therapist of Surinamese descent. One of her most famous characters is Taante, a character with whom she has been on stage since 1985.
