'Mee and my Dad' is a documentary about a 24-year-old Englishman who lives with his 60-year-old father in Thailand comes to attend his father's wedding.

His father is going to marry Mee, a young Thai woman of 27 years old, only three years older than the young Briton.

The documentary paints a nice picture of why 'Mee' chooses to marry a man who is no less than 33 years older than her.

A candid documentary about Mee's motives, but also a beautiful and moving look at a special father-son relationship. It becomes equally painful when Mee denies her husband an emotional moment with his son on the evening of the wedding, and as a (Western?) viewer you wonder what she is getting into. But luckily everything will be fine again and everyone will have an experience richer again.

A video showing one of many relationships, between a falang and a Thai in this case with Thai children from a previous relationship, often, not always, based on financial security
Poignant moments shown by the ex-wife of the groom-to-be, also the son of the father who left for Thailand, who still lives with his mother. The first acquaintance between the Thai and her stepson, the welcome of the father and the son and unfortunately the images that are doused with DRINK (which destroys more than you would like). All in all a video that will have moments for the many falangs of recognition. The wedding is beautifully filmed, is "only" a ceremony that is not legally valid, but it is of value to the Thai family in particular. Well worth watching!
