- Eric Kuypers: What's difficult about it? A tourist comes for a holiday and in most countries it is only short, max 30 days. People from the west
- Rob: Hello Frans, From May 10 you can pre-order it from the publisher. My email address is [email protected]
- Rob: The publisher is still working on the design and I don't know the sales price yet. It will be available for purchase from May 24. I will return in October
- Frank B.: Even though we plan to settle in Thailand and I have been following F70 since the early 1s, I hope this does not happen.
- Robert: Attract tourists? Then they could simplify the visa system a bit...
- Robert: I was in Thailand (near Ayutthaya) in January and March. I've traveled around that area a bit and am further north
- Ton Prangku: Bert, a university in Thailand has a different level than what we are used to here in Europe. We would call it secondary here
- Bert: Thanks for the nice tip! I also like to play games myself, but I don't know this one yet, I'll definitely take a look and see what it is
- Bert: Well, as far as I'm concerned, Bangkok or an expensive private one is not necessary, nor would it be practical since it is a good 500km away from here
- French: PS Rob, your email address is not in your article so I cannot email you my order. I don't see it on the book scout website
- French: Good storyteller! I'm going to order.
- Rene Mulder: Hi Rob. Seems like a nice book to me. But how much does the book cost and where do you send the book from because I live in Pattaya.
- Gerd H: Spend this money for such a ridiculous project on fighting poverty for people who really need it!
- Jack S: In Bangkok there is less of a rise in the sea than a drop in the land. The city stands on soft ground and this is
- Jan Beute: And not to forget the consequences for the requirements for retirement visa extension. 800K in a joint account is not allowed

Khao Takiab: monkeys and a temple
Just outside Hua Hin you will find Khao Takiab. From it beach from Hua Hin you can see the 20 meter high Buddha statue which stands on the hill at Khao Takiab.
The two hills are called the Chopstick Peaks. The climb up is tiring in the blazing sun, but at the top of the temple you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. The temple is called Wat Khao Lad. You can see Singhtoh Island from here.
What is also funny are the many monkeys at the foot of the hill. If you want you can feed the monkeys. You can buy a basket of bananas there. Given the huge teeth of the monkeys and the fact that they quickly sit on top of your head, we chose a different variant. In addition, you have to be careful because if a monkey scratches or bites you, you can go to the hospital to get vaccinated against rabies.
A female monk walks with a large bamboo stick. The monkeys respect her because otherwise they will get a bang with that stick. She throws the bucket of bananas for you between the monkeys, who throw themselves at the delicacies with a lot of screaming and noise. A nice spectacle. I put it on video.
Nice video. I was there in May. Thais usually come up by car, from the back. Pay close attention to your belongings. A pickup drove up with some ladies in the back. As soon as they got out, one of the monkeys spotted an unattended lady's bag and ran off with it. He opened the zipper and checked for anything edible, but unfortunately nothing. The owner went screaming towards the animal and of course it looked for a safe haven, with a bag. After the monkey had thrown everything out one by one, he also threw away the empty bag and the lady was able to gather her things together. Nice to see.
We've been there and it was horrible. The monkeys are very aggressive and 4 people were injured by those bitches. A monkey jumped on the head of an elderly woman from a lean-to and snatched her sunglasses. The blood ran into her eyes.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there!!
I went there once and then never again. When I walked up there it smelled like monkey shit and those ugly monkeys everywhere. A Frenchman was desperately looking for his camera that had been snatched by one of the monkeys. We helped him and a little later we found the camera lying at the foot of a tree. Luckily it was still intact.
As I was walking back to my bike, I just saw a monkey grab my water bottle and climb a tree. There he opened the bottle and drained the water.
I'm not going anywhere those monkeys are anymore. Places I avoid: the temple of Kao Takiap, the park at Petchaburi, the temple at Prachuab Khiri Kahn and again Petchaburi, Tham Khao Luang, a beautiful cave, but where these bastards also hang out.
