Chiang Mai – The Beauty of Diversity (Video)

In this beautiful video you will see images of Chiang Mai affectionately called "The Rose of the North" by the Thai. The province was once the center of the Lanna Kingdom. It was the first kingdom to secede from the Khmer kingdoms. The Lanna culture is very different from the culture of the rest of Thailand.
In Chiang Mai, the people cherish their origins. The visible differences with the rest of Thailand are reflected in, among other things, the construction of houses, clothing, food and song and dance. Many tourists from home and abroad appreciate the North of Thailand for its relaxed atmosphere and friendly population.
But there's more. Be sure to visit the green countryside and the rugged mountains around Chiang Mai, it is only half an hour's drive from Chiang Mai. They offer limitless opportunities for exploring the rich flora and fauna. Also visit the many fascinating villages of the mystical hill tribes. There is so much to see in and around the city that you have to plan well to visit everything.
