The Dutch Museum has been around for several years now Job Hollanda in Ayutthaya open to the public.

This museum is a gift from the Dutch people to Thailand on the occasion of 400 years of friendly relations between the Netherlands and Thailand. The gift was given by Queen Beatrix in 2004 during a state visit to Thailand.

Piece of history

From the 17th century, Siam came into contact with trading European countries, such as Portugal, France and the Netherlands. In 1604 the first contacts took place between the Dutch VOC and the Siamese court. In 1608, a VOC factory was established near the then capital Ayutthaya.

What can you see in Baan Hollanda?

The information center about the Netherlands provides insight into the shared history such as the VOC period from 1604, when Siam started trading with the Netherlands. But in Baan Hollanda you will also encounter current topics such as an exhibition about modern water management in both countries.
