Experiences with Revolut (reader submission)
While I was in Gambia, I opened an account with Revolut. (Lithuania). Completely via the internet. Since last week, my Lithuanian account number has been converted to a Dutch iban account with them. I can transfer from my normal NL bank account to Revolut. My account at Revolut can handle 16 different currencies.

As many of you know, in (online) shops in Thailand you can pay with Mastercard or Visa. Think of your daily groceries at Tesco or refueling. One quickly thinks of using a credit card from a NL/BE bank. I recently started paying in Thailand with a free debit card. The reason for this is lower costs and more security than paying with a credit card.
