Before we discuss Thai culture, it is good to define the concept of culture. Culture refers to the entire society in which people live. This includes the way people think, feel and act, as well as the traditions, values, norms, symbols and rituals they share. Nearly 812.000 krathongs have been collected from the Chao Phraya, canals and ponds by municipal workers in Bangkok.
The municipality of Bangkok has started cleaning the surface water after Loy Krathong. That already yielded six tons of krathongs.
Agenda Loi Krathong Festival 2013: 10 – 20 November
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that the Loi Krathong Festival 2013 will take place between November 10 and 20 in the following tourist destinations: Bangkok, Sukhothai, Tak, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, Samut Songkhram and Suphanburi.
