Following Barend's story about his son Ivo, who ended up in a juvenile detention center for a while (see episode 80), Jan Si Thep also made a “confession”. His wife's son came into contact with the police years ago and got off less easily than Ivo. The end of the song was a two-week stay in an army education camp.

In episode 86 of this series, Do van Drunen told about his brand new Fortuner that was declared a total loss after being under water for 3 days in a parking garage in Bangkok. Delay of your flight, who hasn't experienced that? Annoying, but nothing you can do about it. If you are reasonably well taken care of with consumption vouchers, the misery feels less, a nice conversation with a fellow passenger also has a positive effect. Blog reader Jan Dekkers writes about it, but an extra memory came to mind about his flirtation with a beautiful lady from the ground staff.

Relationships of foreigners with a much younger Thai woman are not uncommon. Of course that doesn't always run smoothly, but there are still many of those relationships that last for a very long time. The question that sometimes arises is whether such a relationship is a beautiful dream or a great Thai illusion. Blog writer Leo wrote down his reflections in a philosophical mood and sent it to Thailandblog.

Train, bus, taxi, minibus or motorbike taxi will take you wherever you want. In large parts of the countryside, this is not always optimally arranged and blog reader Martin writes about his experiences in the south of Thailand below.

Every week a Dutch or Belgian dies in Thailand. Fortunately, it is a fairly large group, so that the times that you become involved in a death are fortunately limited. But what if it concerns a compatriot who lives near you or lives in the same village. It happened to Adri, who wrote a story about it in 2017.
