The number of new infections in Thailand continues to rise, but less quickly. It seems that the peak has been reached. The effect of new lockdown measures on the number of infections can only be seen after about 14 days.
I read more and more that the Chinese Sinovac is not effective against the Delta variant. My Thai wife had an injection of Sinovac. What should we do now? Wait until she can go to a private hospital for Moderna? In the meantime, she can become infected.
The Delta variant, first identified in India, accounts for 52% of Covid-19 infections in Bangkok and a virus expert expects it to overtake the English alpha variant first discovered in the UK replaced as the most dominant tribe in Thailand.
