For the third consecutive time I have problems with glasses bought in the Netherlands. After about a year and a half, lenses slowly but surely become cloudy, until they become almost frosted and you can no longer see through them in good conscience. To be clear, glasses are bought from a good optician, not from a large chain or online.
Thailand question: good glasses store with good service?
Who knows a good eyewear store with good service? I think they are very expensive here compared to the Netherlands. Are there big differences in price between stores here?
Thai driver's license – which glasses for the eye test?
Soon I would like to do the necessary to have my Belgian driving license converted into a Thai driving licence. I understand that you have to undergo an eye test (depth perception – color test) for this.
I have been living in Thailand for almost 5 years and have had a Thai driving license for the car for 4 years. The tests for colours, reaction and depth perception are indeed not difficult. But both before obtaining my first Thai driver's license and before renewing it, I had a problem with the depth perception test.
Looking for affordable computer glasses
I spend a lot of hours at my PC and I'm looking for good affordable screen glasses. Currently I use cheaper reading glasses but this is not ideal. Reading glasses have a shorter viewing distance than computer glasses.

Affordable and good optician in Pattaya or Jomtien?
I wear glasses and since yesterday one arm has broken off. Fortunately, my glasses have two arms…..but still. Since I will only return to Belgium sometime in June next year for a few weeks, I have a problem. Where in or around Pattaya/Jomtien can I go to a good Optician who sells multi-vocal glasses at affordable prices?
Reader question: Why do I see few Thai people wearing glasses?
What always strikes me when I'm in Thailand is that you see relatively few Thai people wearing glasses. Is there a reason for that? I can't imagine that Thais have better eyes than we Westerners. Maybe glasses are too expensive for many or inconvenient?

Reader question: Buying glasses in Thailand
I want to have new glasses fitted on my next visit to Thailand. Does anyone have experience with quality and price?
I've been wearing contact lenses every now and then for years, alternating with glasses. What I didn't know, however, is that you have to take special measures at high temperatures like in Thailand.
I have a problem that maybe one of you knows the answer to. My multifocal glasses are in smithereens. So to an eyewear store to have a new one fitted. The price shocked me. More expensive than at Hans Anders or a similar company in the Netherlands.
