Dongtan Beach will have a special drainage system

The Dongtan Beach has been available to beachgoers again for six months. The tree stock has been expanded by the Nong Nooch team. At the beginning of Dongtan Beach, an easily accessible parking lot has been built next to the police station and near the Sandbar restaurant. From the parking lot, the road is closed to all traffic from 10 am. So you can enjoy a nice walk.

A wide grid runs between the road and the sidewalk. All the rainwater is drained into this and is spacious in terms of capacity. It is striking that a second drainage system has also been installed. The run-off water from the environment reaches the trees and plants so that they are supplied with water. This also covers the entire length of 1,3 kilometers from the Rabbit resort to the Yimyom Beach. It is apparently allowed to smoke along the road because there were waste bins where the cigarette butt could be deposited.

The Dongtan Beach can be found at the beginning of the Jomtien Beach. Instead of turning left to walk along Jomtien Beach, people now turn right at the police station and 7-Eleven.

For those who feel disappointed by the many activities in Pattaya, Jomtien is an alternative or possibly towards Bangsaray.

The municipality has issued a statement about the many construction activities. She has received an extra 95 million Baht, but had to get to work with it! And that was invested in, among other things, improved drainage systems and a number of underground power lines. The fact that the road surface is being closed like a large patchwork quilt for the time being due to the great haste is of later concern.

Advice from the municipality, avoid the Pattaya Beachroad if possible because 1 road half remains open. With the motorbike it is less of a problem!

Most of the misery is expected to be over by the end of February 2020.
