Thailand to 2018 FIFA World Cup?

Now that the Dutch national team failed miserably in the qualifying series for the European Championship 2016 in France, we should move our attention to other countries until better times come in our country.

Certainly, we will of course support our Belgian friends, who I think will be an important outsider at the European Championship tournament and may well provide a surprise.

But we, foreigners in Thailand, should also pay a little more attention to Thai football because the national team is engaged in a remarkable race to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Thailand has been placed in a group with Vietnam, Iraq and Taiwan in the second round of the qualifying series and can hardly lose the lead with two games to go.

The next game is on November 12 at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok against weak Taiwan. With a win, Thailand is assured of a place in Round 3, in which 12 teams in two groups compete for 4 places for the 2018 World Cup.

Thailand plays fun and attacking football under the leadership of the Thai coach Kiatisuk Senamuang – we have already paid attention to it – and proof of this was the match in and against Vietnam last Tuesday, October 13. You can watch the highlights of this match in the video below, in which Thailand's third goal is particularly striking due to a perfectly executed tiki-taka attack. The Algemeen Dagblad also shows this goal extensively on the website.

It is a pity that the good performance so far has been snowed under again by a Thai football association that has been completely suspended by the fifa ethics committee! luckily these are independent of the Mafia Blatter clan family! As it turns out, in 2000 Germany bought the winning vote from the Thai president of the football association! Whose deed!

Yes, that there is also corruption in Thai football is not surprising. But in Europe they are still fully behind Platini who is supposedly not corrupt. But he received 1.800.000 euros for some work for his friend Blatter.
And indeed the Thais play nice football. And it only gets really fun when they place themselves. Then the whole country goes crazy. And they gambled for trillions of Baht. And Ron have you seen the Dutch defense? And Gerit do you ever see South American football? They are also the whole game. That's just a culture thing.

That 3rd goal nicely executed yes,
But they do get every opportunity for it, don't they?
    Jesusmina, what a defense……!

Last week I watched Vietnam – Thailand with half an eye in the Wonderful 2 Bar in Pattaya. It was shown on one of the four screens. I can't exactly say that it is very 'alive' with the Thai, they hardly noticed it. That is different in some sports – I seem to remember a volleyball match.
Anyway, what is not can still come and the final round is only three years away. If they make it I promise to appear in the outfit of the Thai football team, so keep your fingers crossed!

Well, I really don't need to see that.
I've seen the match between Thailand and Vietnam, in which the Thai keeper should have been sent off three times.
It's just a group of toddlers. If they get a push, they quickly lie down and cry.
Really a bunch of kids. (except for a few)

They still have a long way to go. I think it would be nice to see how the Thai and commerce would react to this. Decorated streets? Crazy hats and clothes? Actions at 7/11? Or none of this at all? Does a Thai go all out or not at all?

Football in Thailand is improving by leaps and bounds and beautiful goals are scored every week. Also the Interland Ned. Thailand seen where Ned. at times they played away with fresh and very technical football. I would like to see them again against this hopeless Dutch team.

They have often done well, but when it comes down to it, they always come across countries that are a size too big: Australia, Japan, South Korea, China ……

You don't seriously believe that Thailand has any chance of qualifying for the World Cup, do you?
and Belgium an outsider at European Championships? Belgium is simply one of the major contenders that many teams will be afraid of.
