The spectacular Race of Champions is coming to Bangkok again. The annual celebration for the top drivers from the world of motorsports, including rally, MotoGP and IndyCar, is held at Rajamangala Stadium in mid-December. The event was also held there last year.

Last year, the French Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean triumphed in the individual classification. Germany took the team title.

The Race of Champions is an auto and motorsport event held annually since 1988. Originally, the race was held in memory of Henri Toivonen, who died in 1986 in the rally of Corsica. The trophy, which is awarded to the individual winner, is also named after him. In the early years of the race, only rally drivers took part in the competition to determine who was the fastest on a track. But the event was soon expanded and drivers from other branches of car and motorsport also came to show the best of themselves.

Since 1999, the Race Of Champions Nations Cup has also been organized, in which different countries compete against each other. To make the race even more interesting for the general public, different types of cars have been used for several years, both rally and circuit cars.
