The Kings Cup Hua Hin Mountain Bike Classic 2014 for men in the over-50 class, held last Sunday, was won by Dutch expat Jos Klumper from Hua Hin.
In his hometown Jos (see photo homepage) was the fastest on a course of 42 kilometers. The race started at the Hua Hin Shooting Range, Bor Fai.
In a blistering race, Jos, who was a successful international motocross rider in his youth, managed to stay ahead of the competition consisting of a field of Thai and foreigners. This in a tough race through very rough terrain that, in combination with the high temperature, demanded the utmost from the well-trained mountain bikers.
Jos, who cycles more than 40 km daily in the hills near Hua Hin, had to go all out, but thanks to his excellent technique, concentration and stamina, he managed to win the competition and was able to take home a beautiful cup.
Congratulations Jos, great class!

Samorn is also currently in Thailand.
She is staying in a hospital in Bangkok where she eats and sleeps with her son Keng, who was transferred from a hospital in Pattaya to Bangkok.
This one was stabbed 2 weeks ago by a pickpocket in Pattaya where he was with family for selling souvenirs to tourists.
He has been stabbed in his right lung and is still not doing well and if all goes well will be taken to another hospital for surgery this week.
