- Eric Kuypers: What's difficult about it? A tourist comes for a holiday and in most countries it is only short, max 30 days. People from the west
- Rob: Hello Frans, From May 10 you can pre-order it from the publisher. My email address is
- Rob: The publisher is still working on the design and I don't know the sales price yet. It will be available for purchase from May 24. I will return in October
- Frank B.: Even though we plan to settle in Thailand and I have been following F70 since the early 1s, I hope this does not happen.
- Robert: Attract tourists? Then they could simplify the visa system a bit...
- Robert: I was in Thailand (near Ayutthaya) in January and March. I've traveled around that area a bit and am further north
- Ton Prangku: Bert, a university in Thailand has a different level than what we are used to here in Europe. We would call it secondary here
- Bert: Thanks for the nice tip! I also like to play games myself, but I don't know this one yet, I'll definitely take a look and see what it is
- Bert: Well, as far as I'm concerned, Bangkok or an expensive private one is not necessary, nor would it be practical since it is a good 500km away from here
- French: PS Rob, your email address is not in your article so I cannot email you my order. I don't see it on the book scout website
- French: Good storyteller! I'm going to order.
- Rene Mulder: Hi Rob. Seems like a nice book to me. But how much does the book cost and where do you send the book from because I live in Pattaya.
- Gerd H: Spend this money for such a ridiculous project on fighting poverty for people who really need it!

Monk caught having sex with woman (video)
A video is circulating on Youtube of a Thai monk who is caught by the police having sex with a prostitute. The video has already been viewed more than 70.000 times.
The Thai reactions on Youtube do not lie. More and more Thais have trouble with the sanctimonious behavior of some monks.
The video, probably made in khon kaen, shows a policeman catching the monk with a lady. The monk is even still getting dressed.
This man has some explaining to do to the abbot.
Video: Monk has sex with Thai woman

The monk is from Nonglua, near Khon Kaen.
He had met the woman (21) at the bus station and invited her to go with him.
He offered her 400 baht, and she agreed.
The woman confessed that she had sex with the monk, pretty stupid, because she confessed to prostitution.
And so was arrested.
The monk didn't say much, just where he came from
And gave his ID book to the policeman.
And was also arrested.
Neighbors called the police.
It is therefore not without reason why every temple in Thailand has a high wall around it.
After all, people don't like snoops there, but women and minors are very welcome in the temples after sunset.
It took the search for the “Enlightenment” very broad.
It cannot be determined on the video whether it actually happened in a temple.
More things will happen that are not always in line with the way of life that can be expected of a monk and I do not want to be naive about that.
However, it is also not fair to immediately tar all temples and their monks with the same brush.
In any case, I do not want to be as sharp as Hans van Mourik in his response above.
The event was not in a temple either.
The police cannot just enter a temple.
There are exceptions though.
Of course, things happen in and outside the temples that are not in line with “the doctrine”.
And monks are only human too.
It should be noted that respect for temples and monks is declining considerably in Thailand.
The greed for money exhibited in some temples doesn't really help.
Unfortunately.
It is not much different from those Catholic priests, and it is therefore asking for trouble if Popie Jopie does not allow you to have sex. That pope is no longer of this time, and let those priests and monks also have a relationship, because every person has sexual feelings and sooner or later it goes completely wrong, and that is called assault or rape. Ban those retarded beliefs completely, for we have only seen wars and misery from that. My father and mother fought like cat and dog over the 2 completely different beliefs. Baptist and Catholic, or 2 faiths on a pillow, the devil sleeps in between. I was brought up in strict faith and have only seen misery from that, and never come to a church again. If there is a need, I can also pray on my knees, and I do not need a church for that. If there is no child on the way for a year was my father got the brunt of the pastor, because they wanted to remain the largest club, much to the chagrin of my mother, who had to do a lot of compulsory figures at the request of the pastor. They should have divorced a long time ago, but then there was no welfare yet and it was a pinball marriage due to the eternal firing of the 2 families, And marriage should be banned here anyway, because see them all stumble, and then you have to share your hard-earned money again, as I do every week experience this a few times. If the ladies put you under such pressure, then only marry for Buddha, because then you will be financially free. Approached last week by a compatriot who had married in Thailand and had a child with his Thai wife in The Netherlands. She was out for days and nights and hardly looked after her child, but dear father had to leave the house in the divorce and continue to pay the mortgage and a hefty alimony. The poor soul now lives with his mother because he still has 400 euros to live on. I often say marrying a Thai is Russian roulette, and in the long run almost always goes wrong. One of the most typical and bizarre examples was the bizarre murder of our compatriot Jules Odekerken, where his wife has now finally been sentenced to death after 10 years, which has been commuted to life imprisonment, because she has now brought 5 poor children into this world. In love is lost in the land of smile, with one exception.
I am more shocked that the video of the police has been put on the internet than the content.
Recently, 2 monks from Cambodia were arrested in Thailand who not only begged for food, but also forced people to give money. Sex videos were also seized from the men. As it turned out, for use in their residence on the temple grounds. They look like real people.
I often say marrying a Thai is Russian roulette.
So, so Colin, this is very short sighted. It does indeed go wrong very often, but what is the reason? Isn't it true that after only a few weeks of holiday in Thailand, most farangs already think they have found the love of their life in a bar or brothel! During the holiday of borrowed or saved money there playing the benefactor / brat and having to transform into a hard-working citizen or benefit recipient on returning home, often with a below-average income. How naive is it then to expect the same transformation from one day to the next from someone who may have been in life for years (completely different world, with different norms and values)!
It is therefore because of the many prejudices and mistrust that a relationship between a farang and a Thai breaks down. No, you can't trust Thai women......Colin, what a great starting point for starting a Thai relationship! Isn't every serious relationship based on trust and respect, even when your girlfriend or wife is Thai?
Dear Fred
What on earth does a relationship with a Thai have to do with the subject of the post?
It's about a monk who had forgotten his promises for a while and a woman who doesn't take the teachings very seriously.
In any case, Fred, not every chautanchak (foreigner) in Thailand has a relationship with a “bargirl”.
I do know a few Westerners who are not married to an (ex) bargirl and have a normal life.
I also know a few Westerners who do have a relationship with an (ex) bargirl, and those relationships are also going well.
And I also know a few Westerners who are just screwed.
And as for mutual trust?
Well, Thai ladies don't trust "farang", and it is often the case the other way around.
So be it.
And as for playing the big mister?
Well, it is of course quite nice for a sabble person to convince themselves, helped by the lower prices of vegetables and especially meat, that they are not sabbatical.
But if you lose sight of reality, yes, then you are just out of luck.
Well, a monk is only human, he also has his needs and feelings..
Like every man 😉
What on earth does a relationship with a Thai have to do with the subject of the post?
Dear Hans, you shouldn't ask me, but Colin!
