Fikkie gets his own park in Bangkok
Bangkok is going to build a dog park for 50 million baht. That is the only park in Bangkok where dogs are allowed, because other parks are off limits to them.
The dog park will have a jogging track of 300 meters, sandpit, fountain and an area with equipment for exercises. The park is only accessible to dog owners (plus dog) who have registered their animal with the BMA. The dog must also be vaccinated. The dogs are implanted with a microchip with a registration number; the owner an ID with information about the dog. There is no free roaming; the dog must be kept on a leash and the owner must clean up the animal's faeces.
Like all public parks, the dog park is closed at night. It will open at the Watcharapol intersection in the middle of next year.
