This video shows an elephant venting its frustrations on a tourist's car in Khao Yai National Park.

It is the umpteenth incident involving wild elephants. Cars have already been damaged in recent months. About a week ago, an elephant attacked the car of a honking tourist.

According to the park's veterinarian, Patarapol Maneeorn, it is rare that these Jumbos deliberately attack cars. It is likely that the male is looking for a female to mate with. If that doesn't work, it gets quite stressed.

It is important that motorists do not honk at the elephants and keep enough distance from each other so that they can easily drive away if necessary.

I don't see any frustration with this elephant. What I do see is that the elephant sees the car as an object. Nothing more and nothing less . This is a National Park!!! What do we actually want ???? That elephant adapts to us ???? We – who have already limited their living space – to a minimum ??? Let an elephant be an elephant and if you have a National Park – anywhere in the world – adapt to the animals. You simply cannot expect them to adapt to you. Why didn't the car drive back SLOWLY for a moment?? I therefore do not agree with the explanation of this article. I myself have been in Africa for medical humanitarian aid for years - just like I am now doing in Asia - and I have learned that you have to adapt. The animals remain animals and they are not called WILD animals for nothing.

Agree with Roja….the elephant is acting curious towards the car, and they could have easily driven on, or indeed turned around and driven back!!!
