Tour Thailand popular with the Dutch
This is shown by a survey among Dutch people Thailand is a popular destination for a tour. The Asian country thus scores sixth place in the top 10 of countries that are mentioned for a tour. Of the Asian countries, only Indonesia in fourth place is a formidable competitor.
This top 10 was compiled by Rondreis.nl, which asked more than 1500 Dutch people about their favorite country to travel in.
The US is named as the best country for a tour (12,2 percent), mainly because of the 'various landscapes', 'spectacular cities' and 'endless travel possibilities'. The US thus remains ahead of Australia (10,6%) and New Zealand (8,5%).
Iceland most loved in Europe
The Dutch prefer to discover distant destinations. More than 90 percent of travel enthusiasts prefer a country outside Europe. Indonesia and South Africa are fourth and fifth, followed by Canada, China and Argentina. More than 25 percent of travelers choose an Asian country for a tour.
Only in fifteenth place is the first European destination: Iceland, followed a little later by Norway. 'The beautiful nature', 'exotic culture', 'the pleasant climate' or 'the delicious food' are often cited as reasons for preferring a long journey.

I don't believe one bit of it that when asked: "Name a nice country for a tour", 1 in 12 Dutch people spontaneously come with New Zealand.
