Bangkok is number three of the XNUMX most visited tourist cities in the world, according to a survey by Euromonitor International for the Top City Destinations Ranking.

In the top ten we find no fewer than six Asian countries. Hong Kong took first place.

Euromonitor took figures from 2012 into account for this top ten. The agency, which works from London, needed more than a year to process the official data from other sources.

Hong Kong welcomed no less than 23,8 million visitors in one year. Their northern neighbors in particular contribute to the popularity of the Asian city. Chinese tourists here account for 63,5 percent of all visitors, which is 11,1 percent more than in 2011.

Chinese cities are finding it increasingly difficult to attract foreign tourists. Cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Zhuhai scored particularly low in 2012. The slowdown in economic growth, the strong Chinese yuan and pollution are the main reasons for these poor figures.

Look at that picture above, that says enough what a picture! who wouldn't want to see that in real life?

  2. theos says up

In the tourism sector, no one has ever heard of Euromonitor International, so that says enough. This is also a so-called study from 2012 or 2013.
