Weather forecast Thailand: Cold in the North and rain in the South
The Meteorological Department predicts that the temperature in northern Thailand will drop considerably: by 5 to 8 degrees. Night frost is even possible in the higher areas. It will remain cold until Friday.
The cold weather also attracts tourists, especially Thai. The northeastern province of Kalasin, including Laem Non Wiset, attracts many visitors, especially the Lam Pao reservoir is popular.
Southern Thailand: Rain and wind
The South of Thailand expects bad weather. The inhabitants of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, which includes Hua Hin, and the rest of the South have to prepare for a lot of rain, strong winds and high waves today. In Prachuap Khiri Khan, flags have been placed on the beach to warn tourists that swimming in the sea can be dangerous.
This morning at five o'clock I went jogging again in my residential area in Pattaya. I walked for an hour enjoying the cool weather, slightly below twenty degrees. It may stay that way for me for a long time. The middle part of Thailand always has the best weather. Sad again for the residents in the south of Thailand because they now know what rain looks like.
Delicious. We live in Chiang Mai and are glad that winter is finally here. 5 degrees is not necessary now, but I assume these are night temperatures
We have been in Prachuap for a few days and the weather is beautiful, indeed stormy wind ... beautiful heads on the waves and the water that beats over the boulevard ....
Today on Koh Samui partly cloudy and still a peak of 32 degrees. Delicious.
It's about time they also build standard heating in the cars here, my wife and I are often cold in the car now.
CM airport expects 9° coldest temp this week.
Can already be noticed here in Chiangmai. I see the images again:
* chilling Thais with ice caps at wood fires outside (inside of course too dangerous in the wooden houses)
* Similarly dressed Thais with photo equipment crawling on the ground to photograph hoarfrost on Doi Inthanon.
I myself will prepare my fireplace in advance. My neighbors looked at that strangely at the time, but in this period (more often cold) usually slight jealousy. That falang wasn't as crazy as he seemed.
It was this cold a few years ago. pullovers and long pants. And luckily an electric blower heater to heat the bathroom
I also live near Pattaya and I think it is biting cold here in the morning. Even have to use a blanket at night. May the winter be over soon. Even now, just 19 pm and only 24 degrees. Brrr freezing cold.
And then you have people who deny climate change, and this is not just in Thailand.
Maja can fill up the buffers for water supply considerably now, hopefully these are now large enough for when there is extreme drought again in a while. But knowing Thai people are not thinking that far ahead, they are probably complaining about the rain now and again next year about the extreme drought and water shortage…
When it comes to complaining about the weather, they look a lot like the Dutch.
In Uttaradit it is now 14 degrees.
Have hot air heaters brought there.
Of those little ones but enough to make it comfortable inside.
super for kitesurfing. Finally some wind in bangsare (30 km below Pattaya)
it is best to go to the mountains (military terrain).
the wind is blowing!
