Home » News from Thailand » Thai women employed as sex workers in Bahrain through deception
A dozen Thai women have ended up in the sex business in Bahrain through deception. The police's Anti-Human Trafficking Division is investigating the case after the parents of one of the victims filed a complaint.
Her 30-year-old daughter would be forced to work as a prostitute in the Middle Eastern country. Manama, the capital of Bahrain, is notorious for its ubiquitous prostitution.
A middleman had convinced the mother a few months ago that he could arrange a job abroad as a masseuse for her daughter. According to the organization Help Crime Victims against payment of 300.000 baht.
Many Northeastern women are forced into prostitution on false promises by recruiters from their community or someone they know. They claim to be able to arrange a well-paid job abroad, says Usa Loetsisanthat of the Foundation for Women.

Naivety everywhere, who paid this 300.000 bath to whom? The intermediary to the mother, so he bought the daughter, or vice versa, the mother to the intermediary for the cash flow that would come in? In both cases a lot of money. That people just don't want to understand what kind of deal they are closing. How completely unworldly you can be and how you will remain so, unfortunately.

Yes, these kinds of messages just keep on going. People can always be influenced and like to believe what they are told. Taken for sex you would think that people would know what is required with these kinds of offers, but many people are willing to hear only the good because of poverty.
By now this elitist balloon should have been punctured, but no, here we go again. Apparently, in the places where these types of victims can be found, there is still insufficient or no warning for this type of crime.
Apart from all this, it will happen to you and you should imagine how those women feel right now.
Humanity in all its diversity, we can't make it more beautiful and there are still a lot of inhumane people who deal with this. If you're lucky, the ladies will come back traumatized and they will remember their dream job for a long time. Hopefully the recruiters are known and can still be arrested and punished for a long time. This is the least they deserve. Those Arabs will have their talk ready and state that the ladies were aware of what they had to do. You have to be able to clear your conscience, don't you? For them this becomes more or less a meat trade, because there are still many thousands of people living there under similar circumstances. And tomorrow hopefully healthy again on people and continue with the order of the day.
My sister-in-law also had this offer once. She then worked as a maseuse in phuket and can earn 3 tons bath. she asked my advice. usually it is not followed anyway. but she also felt wet herself, so she didn't go.
You would almost think that the hot air balloon would have burst by now. Wherever I go in the Isaan, just like in Bangkok, yes, where not, nowadays the modern tools, TV, telephone, iPhone, social media, etc. are available. It is actually surprising to see that mothers and daughters still fall for this kind of pitfalls. It is hoped that the media will pay a lot of attention to this, a warned person counts for 2 you would think.
Wish the ladies in question a good homecoming and strength.
