For the next six days, Thailand will experience heavy rain showers due to the influence of two tropical storms approaching the Chinese coast.

The Meteorological Department is issuing a weather warning for tropical storm Barijat with winds of 70 km per hour. Between Thursday and Friday, the storm will reach Hong Kong and Hinan Island in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand.

Typhoon Mangkhut will reach southern China between Sunday and Tuesday. It brings three meter waves in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, and torrential downpours in the Central part including Bangkok, the East and the West coast of the South.

At least 53 provinces have to take possible flooding into account.
