The Department

The economic and political department has a wide range of tasks. The department focuses on the economic, political and cultural interests of the Netherlands in Thailand, with an emphasis on economic activities.
Activities in the context of trade promotion, reporting on general economic and sector-specific developments, and maintaining a broad network at government, business and civil society level are particularly important in this respect.
In addition, conducting public diplomacy and promoting topics such as International Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) are tasks of the department. Laos and Cambodia receive less attention due to priority setting.
