In case of an emergency, such as a natural disaster or (imminent) unrest, it is vital that the Dutch Embassy in Bangkok can reach and/or inform you. For this they offer the Compass online crisis contact system. Registration is free of charge, once and without obligation and takes less than five minutes.

You then only need to change your details when you travel or move house. Compass stores and secures your contact details. The information you provide will only be used to contact you and help you in an emergency.

Go to the Compass online crisis contact system (www.kompas.buzaservices.nl/registration/ ) for easy registration.

Registration on a voluntary basis

There is no registration obligation for Dutch nationals abroad. Registration is done on a voluntary basis only.

The embassy will therefore not register your details if, for example, you come to renew a passport. If you have been deregistered from the Dutch population register, you are expected to register with the foreign municipality where you live.

The embassy sometimes also keeps data with a view to promoting trade or, for example, the celebration of Queen's Day. The representation will indicate the reason for registering you. If you do not wish to be registered, registration may not take place.

The above email address refers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The embassy has sent a “compass of vital importance” as a communication without any further option to report changes.
This could be done via “organisation”.
When I clicked that I got notifications of viruses.
Then 023095200 embassy no. called, but after listening to some music,
    I cut contact.

    Sincerely,

    Lodewijk

I also had problems logging in.
They referred me to their website, but there was nothing there to register for these questions and registration of Compass.
I immediately sent an e - mail back to the embassy about how I thought about this .
I am 60 years old maybe I am doing something wrong or you are doing something wrong .
    Could be .
Replies back next day, with a reference somewhere to a registration site. And I was able to register again for the umpteenth time.
I have been living here in Thailand for 8 years now, but I have registered at least 3 times.
Answering the same questions over and over again.
Won't be the last time, I'm afraid.
But I do my best to stay registered with our Dutch embassy in Bangkok.

Greetings again from Jantje from Pasang.
