Prime Minister Prayut has proposed to be the first to be vaccinated with the Chinese Sinovac vaccine. This is remarkable because the vaccine would not work sufficiently in the elderly in people over 60 years of age. Prayut will turn 67 next month.

According to a government spokesman, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has offered to be the first person in Thailand to be vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine in order to increase public confidence in the vaccine.

In Thailand, there is much criticism of the Minister of Health, Anutin Charnvirakul, because the country is far behind in vaccinating the population. He himself says that he is not doing or has done anything wrong. According to him, the vaccination strategy is a complicated puzzle.

Dr. Paisan Dankhum, secretary general of the Food and Drug Administration, said the registration process for Sinovac is nearing completion and should be ready by Wednesday, when the first batch of 200.000 doses arrives in Thailand.

At least you do! Because where I meant to say: Prayuth was not given a vaccine today. That stuff won't arrive until Wednesday. You're referring to an old photo of him getting a flu shot 😉 Thought I'd give a peer warning

    • Dear Jos, you are right, mea culpa. Thanks for reporting, the text has been corrected.

Glad it has now been corrected.
    Don't mention it!

  3. I thought Xi Jinping might have sent him a package with some vaccine as a token of friendship 😉
