Thai police have completed their investigation into the death of 58-year-old American James Hughes (pictured above center). And sticks to her conclusion: the man was not murdered. Huges, a lecturer at Webster University, was found dead in a hotel room in Hua Hin in early September after suddenly disappearing in early August.

The autopsy report revealed the cause of death as respiratory arrest and cessation of blood circulation. The police found no evidence of a crime such as assault. Family and friends of the victim were not satisfied with that. According to them, James' death is the result of a crime because his body had injuries. The hotel staff stated that he had contracted it a week before his death. Possibly caused by a fall with a motorbike.

The doctor who performed the autopsy says the man had a swollen liver.
