Severe flooding in southern Thailand

Today it has become clear that now also the South of Thailand dealing with major problems and floods. Among the hardest hit areas is Hat Yai district in Songkhla province.
The water in the city of Hat Yai is meters high in some places. About 100.000 people in the city can no longer move.
Koh Samui without power
The popular tourist island of Koh Samui has no power. All banks and major shops are closed. Various sources report that the power outage could last at least one to two days.
No ferries and no planes
Ferry services to Koh Samui and surrounding islands have been suspended until further notice. The same applies to all air traffic to and from Koh Samui.
Trains to the south are cancelled
Train services to the far south of Thailand have been disrupted. Many trains are stranded or do not depart.
