Koh Samui without power

The popular tourist island of Koh Samui has no power. All banks and major shops are closed. Various sources report that the power outage could last at least one to two days.

No ferries and no planes

Ferry services to Koh Samui and surrounding islands have been suspended until further notice. The same applies to all air traffic to and from Koh Samui.

Trains to the south are cancelled

Train services to the far south of Thailand have been disrupted. Many trains are stranded or do not depart.

    about 3 weeks ago I saw a picture where a large part of the village was under water.
