The contract for the construction of the airport high-speed line has been signed. Acting SRT head Worawut and director Supachai of Charoen Pokphand (CP group) have signed the contract that provides for the construction of 220 kilometers of railway line at a cost of 224 billion baht.

Prayut, who was also present, called the project important for employment and urban development. In addition, the confidence of foreign investors in Thailand will increase. State Secretary Anutin reported that the new HSL line will create at least 100.000 jobs.

It is also special that Japan and China have also invested in the mega project that contributes to the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor.

Remarkably, Anutin said the government wants to build two more HSL lines: Bangkok – Chiang Mai and Bangkok – Hua Hin.

The construction of the line will start within 12 months. The high-speed line must be ready at the end of 2025 and you can travel at high speed from Don Mueang to Suvarnabhumi and to U-Tapao.

Looking forward to it , hopefully ready in time !
Does anyone know when the skytrain to don muang will be ready? Are people working there or are the works virtually at a standstill?

Long live progress, but it certainly won't be a HSL with I believe 12 stops on this route,
more like a slow train with I estimate a top of 125 km / h compared to the slow trains of today indeed very fast.
And hope that it will be safe because now vehicles or trains are regularly shoveled.
We will be surprised and will definitely test it.

The new connection goes to U-Tapao.
The play to Rayong has been cancelled.

Anutin needs to do his homework!
Bangkok – Changmai was canceled a long time ago: not profitable.
