Contrary to previous reports, the new HSL station is featured Hua Hin yet in the center and not seven kilometers south of the city in Ban Nong Kae. The earlier media report caused unrest among the local population who opposed the plan.

In consultation with transport minister Arkhom Termphitayaphaisit, it has been agreed that the new station will be built in the center of the seaside resort. The new station should be located just 225 meters south of the current train station.

The picturesque and historic railway station of Hua Hin is a special building with a unique architecture, which originally served as a reception room for the royal family. It is considered the most beautiful railway station in Thailand and is a famous landmark in the city.

The new station will be built on an elevated section of the 33 billion baht highway between Nakhon Pathom and Chumphon.

That seems like a wise decision to me.
Many mistakes have already been made in the design of the infrastructure around Hua Hin.

The new station will be right behind Market Village. The work has been going on for months, between soi 88 and 94. Why the earthworks for a new station first when there are less than a meter of rail is beyond me, but it will make sense.

First the bottom and then the construction and finishing. No station no passengers. No rails no TRAIN ?
