In this article you can read up-to-date and useful information for tourists in Thailand.

In connection with the situation in Thailand, where the military has taken over power, a national curfew has been imposed.

The curfew is in effect between 22.00pm – 05.00am Thai time. The curfew will remain in place until further notice.

Throughout Thailand, businesses, public services and transport are functioning as normal, but working hours and opening hours have been adjusted due to the curfew.

The curfew does not apply to tourists traveling to and from the airports. There are, however, a number of conditions:

  • Solo travelers are advised to carry passports and other travel documents with them at all times, in case they are checked by the authorities.
  • Group travelers can also travel by bus during curfew.
  • Taxi services at Suvarnabhumi Airport are available 24 hours. These taxis have special stickers on the windscreen. This also allows them to drive during curfew.
  • For assistance and information, tourists can contact Survarnabhumi Airport Call Center Tel: 1722 is ready for assistance if tourists need more information.

Visas for tourists and expats are normally issued. The military has asked all officials at ministries and government agencies to continue with their normal duties.
