The front page of Bangkok Post features a photo of the destruction of counterfeit items. About a million counterfeit products seized since the beginning of the year are being skillfully crushed. The counterfeit goods are worth 729 million baht.

These kinds of photos make the press a few times a year. It seems that the government wants to say: “Look, we will do something against the counterfeit industry.” It is of course a drop in the ocean. A lot of imitation comes from China and that comes into the country in shiploads at the same time. 'A never-ending story'.

Many problems are presented with much fanfare in Thailand, to give everyone the idea that something is really being done, and that they actually have it well under control. Often they show the perpetrators of these crimes in photos and in the daily TV news, surrounded by police officials, to show everyone how well everything against the forbidden is fought. If we only look at the many fake items being sold, I'm afraid Thailand doesn't have enough steamrollers to really solve this in this way.

As long as this business is profitable, it will continue to exist and it will be mopping with the tap open.

corretje, this is not due to your computer but to your settings or to a virus or malware. What system are you using, Win. 7 or 10? Could also be your graphics card, but check with your IT provider first. If you have TOT, switch to someone else because that is the biggest culprit. I was in trouble for months and then switched to True, never a problem again and first-class e-mail support. It also makes a difference how far you live from the server, the further away the worse the connection.
