An opinion poll by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) shows a large majority of 72,4 percent of Thai respondents support the medical use of marijuana.

The respondents do want strict conditions. Only hospitals are allowed to use the resources and the cultivation of medicinal cannabis must be strictly controlled.

Thailand has very strict drug laws, but there are more and more supporters of a different approach. For example, addicts should not be detained, but rather should be helped to get rid of their addiction, according to experts.

You cannot become physically addicted to marijuana.
However, it is possible to become mentally addicted. Eg people with a lot of stress to stay calm. otherwise they will not function.

Yes, finally the drug mafia loses to the natural product marijuana. Why can you get completely drunk but not smoke weed.

Your total possession does have its limitations, in the vast majority of countries public drunkenness is punishable by law. Whether it is always enforced is another matter.

Marijuana has two major enemies. The pharmaceutical industry and the alcohol industry. Both are terrified of losing customers even though it has been proven hundreds of times that marijuana is a candy compared to Mr. Doctor's pills or the bottle of vodka.
